I was recently hit by a drinking driver who ran a light and totalled my car (with injuries to me--soft tissue etc.) I was poking around VA Circuit Court traffic offenses/ online and found out the man that hit me (ran a red light turning left) has a 2 guilty traffic tkts/records I found : 1. tkt for running stop light, 2. failure to yield entering Hwy. I am the 3rd occasion, and he hit me, He was drinking,which he got field sobriety test and breathalizer at the scene because we/the cop and I could smell the alcolhol.He was charged with Reckless. I m going to get a copy of the accident report. I am so angry that this guy was drinking, and has made a habit of doing this! I had an accident a month or two ago. It was in a rental car. I found out today that the insurance company had disallowed some of the charges that the rental company tried to pass to them. Now the rental company is trying to pass those charges to me. They ammount to about $500, plus my deductible, of course. The charges are $100 for an administrative fee $200.89 loss of use fee $139.38 diminished value fee. Who should pay these charges? Should I fork this money over to the car rental company? Should the insurance company pay them? What strategy should I use in my conversations with them? My feeling is that I have insurance, it should pay everything which is an actual cost above and beyond the deductible. ie if I have to pay it, the insurance company should have to pay it. On the other hand, if they are somehow bogus charges, then the rental company can eat it, and that's fine. Thought?

I know as I'm 18, male which supposedly makes me high risk so the cheapest insurance I got was 3820 and that's only for third party, and the car is only a 1.2 litre Renault Clio. My instructor mentioned that he heard a scheme that's being done for young new drivers, companies called: Young Banana & Young Marmalade The idea is that these companies have merged together with insurance companies to fill a gap in the market which is us young drivers. The scheme is that you buy a new car or a nearly new car with these guys and the car will come with affordable insurance. I had a look at it and decided to get a quote just out of interest with a new car. So I selected the nearly new car category and went with the new shaped Renault Clio. You can select to buy the car straight away or get it financed over a period of months with 60 being the longest, I got 150 monthly payment as the average which is just payment for the car. The first years insurance came as 1635, (got all excited and jumping, over - reacting) provided that your parents have a good record they are added to the policy for free. I was thinking that it was too good to be true, new car, affordable insurance. But then could be too good of a deal to go without some hidden catches. I dunno what makes me suspicious about these sites but the more I investigate into it the more I feel that this could become quite expensive. Ok. How much would car insurance cost on a 2007 BMW 335i coupe for an 18 year old driver with about 33,000 miles on the car. Also, how much would a 1999 ford Mustang gt witH 121,000 miles on the car for an 18 year old driver. the bmw will b in a covered shared lot while the mustang will be parked in an uncovered shared lot. We live in pheonix arizona. My car, the mustang, will be used for driving to work, as well as going to class. Same for my boyfriends car, the bmw. My husband's mom decided she will pay for life insurance for my husband and I to help out my husbands brother, starting to sell life insurance. The problem is when it came out to filling out all the paper work my husband put his brother down as the person to receive the money, I came in second? His answer to why he did that he said I know my brother will take care of you I ofcourse got mad because I can take care of myself, I will be the one making arrangements for his funeral and all if something where to happen(knock on wood it doesnt happen). I will be the one stuck with all the bills, and how about if the brother doesnt care. He is a low life now what makes my husband think he will take care of me? When I talk to him he says no, im leaving it that way, theres nothing to talk about.

OK im 17 and a guy. I passed my test about a month ago so i can drive :) My parents agreed that they would pay insurance for me if i paid for lessons and the car. we have car insurance through a really CHEAP company, not a big name one. When we signed up, the do the multi car thing, but they add all the cars under one name and the others as drivers. We had a relative come stay with us, and they added their car and name to our policy, than they moved and registerd the car else where, the policy is under our name, with them as a driver, is this legal? what should we be doing, the policy is good for like 6 months .

I currently own classic mini and after 6 months of driving it i want something more reliable. I didn't earn any no claims bonus on the mini as it was on a classic car policy, which I paid 900 a year third party, fire and theft. I want to get a 1.3 toyota yaris but cheapest insurance I have found is 5500! I will be the main driver of it and no i will not front it (go as named when im actually main driver).
